ABERGAVENNY twins Aimie and Lucie Whiteman recently represented Wales in Belgium's international badminton tournament and picked up four silver medals between them. Held annually in Olve, Belgium the tournament attracts over 15 countries, and this year the ten-year-old Whitemans played in their first U11 Badminton international After two long days Aimie and Lucie battled their way through the group stages to reach the semi finals where they played the top French seeds and after three thrilling games found themselves in the final against the top Belgium pairing.   Aimie also fought her way through to the singles finals and the mixed doubles, where she played with Alex Green from England. Aimie picked up three silver medals and Lucie picked up one in what was a major achievement for both girls on their first international debut. The twins were also the only Welsh players to make it to finals day.   Fellow Abergavenny badminton club player, 13 year old Oliver Stansfield also had a good tournament, losing in the semi- finals of the U13 singles.
