Abergavenny Squash Club’s ‘E’ team produced the shock of the season, beating the league leaders Risca ‘B’ and probable champions by three matches to two.
The heroes of the hour were Tony Davies, Rhys Pritchard, and Chris Carver, who all won convincingly. Despite the result, the team remain in fifth place, but this is a huge confidence boost for a side that has just managed its second win!

The ‘B’ team commenced upon a challenging week by playing and beating a Abergavenny University side above them in the table by three matches to two. Both father and son from the Lawrence family won in four sets, while Carl Whiteman secured a very comfortable victory.

The ‘A’ team travelled to Llanelli, and lost a close match 3-2. Both Roshan Barros and Jethro Binns had good victories, but the result hinged upon the match played by Lewys Hurst, who was edged out in the fifth set. However, the team remain in third place, and are still on course for a good league position at the end of the season.
