Abergavenny Squash Club’s ‘E’ team played the Monmouth ‘E’ side just above them in the league, and lost a competitive match 3-2. As usual, captain Tony Davies led from the front, winning easily 3-0, and he was ably supported by Dean Jackson-Johns, who squeezed through 3-2. However, it was not enough, and the team remain bottom.

The ‘A’ team produced a stunning result against a Rhiwbina ‘A’ side vying for the title, winning by five matches to nil. Special mention should go to Jethro Binns and captain Chris Hill, who both worked extremely hard to win their matches by 3-2, but everybody is to be congratulated on an unexpected result. The team remain in fifth place.
