“AS we are all aware, The Welsh Rugby Union has announced a suspension of all forms of rugby and training in Wales for the remainder of the month due to coronavirus. A ban has now been enforced from Saturday March 14 until and including Monday, March 30.

‘The WRU has taken this decision in the interests of players, supporters, volunteers, referees, stakeholders and Welsh communities in general,’ they announced in a statement.

Whilst the news of the suspension is greeted with trepidation, we must put the welfare of our people and the wider community first. The health and safety of the people within our club and those of our supporters and wider rugby family is of extreme importance to us.

Whilst the suspension is in place, there is still contingent club work to undertake and plan for. We have therefore implemented robust contingency planning across the club in order to protect the health of our people and those with whom we come into contact. This includes, but is not limited to, implementing the advice of the WRU, District authorities, particularly Public Health Wales and others as appropriate.

All Mini and Senior and Walking Rugby has been postponed until March 30, this includes training, league and cup matches.

When the circumstances change and we can resume operations we will let everyone know. In the meantime the club is still contactable via [email protected] and social media.

We wish you all the best of health in these difficult times and hope for brighter times ahead.”
