Cwmffrwdoer - 1

GOVILON were at their rampant best in a merciless demolition job of Cwmffrwdoer at Pen-y-Pound last weekend.

Dean Morgan opened the scoring in the sixth minute with a tap in from a Rhys Whiteman cross. Tom Jenkins also added his name on the score sheet after three passes in the Cwmffrwdoer box allowed him to side foot it past the keeper.

Morgan scored his second after beating the offside trap with a beautifully weighted pass from Jamie Laurent and Morgan returned the favour with a cross from wide which allowed Laurent to blast the ball past the despairing keeper from 15 yards.

Morgan scored his hat trick in the 35th minute after pouncing on a ball which ricocheted off the cross bar from a speculative shot from midfield.

The second half saw substitute Gerran Daniel add to the score with a great solo effort which saw him beat three defenders and put the ball past the outstretched Cwmffrwdoer keeper. Second Substitute Jake Heckles showed his desire to get on the score sheet after he lost his markers and calmly side footed a great Dean Morgan cross into the net.

Cwmffrwdoer's David Greenhalgh grabbed a consolation goal by breaking through a Govilon defence which had relaxed a little too much by this stage, but Dean Morgan finished of as he started after pouncing on a quick free kick taken by Jake Heckles and putting it past the keeper.
