ABERGAVENNY Town got off to a flying start against the Buds with Dafydd Brewer’s looping header against his former club after only six minutes.

New signing Dane Griffiths increased Town’s lead 20 minutes later.

In the second half Aberbargoed looked revitalised with livewire Levis Rees reducing the arrears within the first minute, and half way through Rees struck again to bring his side level.

More trouble followed for Town six minutes later when Callum Evans scored for the Buds to give the visitors the lead for the first time.

Town replied immediately through Craig Norman. They continued to press and got their reward, albeit if it came off an Aberbargoed defender with a minute to go.

Town now look forward to their away day at Dinas Powys (2.30pm) this Saturday.

Town continue to strengthen behind the scenes with former favourite Dan Jenkins returning to the club.

Town’s development side have gone joint top of their league following a 2-4 win at Dinas Powys with Richard Jeremiah and Tom Jenkins bagging a brace apiece
