LOSING two consecutive Saturday fixtures to the weather has been a blow to Crickhowell.

Not an insurmountable one as the team are in such good form that their push for a top two place in division six central is still on the cards.

At the time the weather began to dictate things Crickhowell had achieved two bonus points on the trot and were hitting a purple patch.

And then came the snow. The Crickhowell side under the coaching team of Mark Withey and Alan Taylor were stopped in their tracks by the weather.

The committee and supporters are confident that Withey, Taylor and club captain James Ralph will get together with the senior players over the next couple of days to ensure that the enthusiasm of the players will be rekindled to carry the season forward, despite the next two weeks being lost to the Six Nations competition.

At present Crickhowell lie third in the table and the other three sides in the top four all have to make the trip to Parc Broyd. They cannot be relishing their visits and Crickhowell have every chance of fulfilling their ambitions if both form and enthusiasm are maintained.
