On Sunday four members of Abergavenny Hockey Club were selected to be part of the South Wales Team which faced North Wales in two separate fixtures.

First up were Alex Francis and Taliesin Martin who were capped for the South Wales under 14 side in an epic eight goal thriller.

Taliesin was amongst the South Wales Goal Scorers in a game that finished in a draw with both sides racking up four goals each.

The next game saw South Wales under 16 boys take on North Wales under 16 boys. Again, a very tightly fought contest.

Dan Mills and Rory Calderwood were amongst the Abergavenny junior club members who represented a South Wales team that took an early lead and continued to trade goals with North Wales until the final whistle.

This time the South took the victory winning by four goals to three.

Congratulations to all who took part.
