WITH their away match at Cwmbran Town falling foul of the weather the previous weekend, Abergavenny Town wasted no time in returning to winning ways and served up the normal rout which the Pen-y-Pound faithful have come to expect.

Jamie Laurent sent Town on their way after 35 minutes, and fit-again Dean Morgan doubled their lead with half-time approaching.

Soon into the second half, Laurent doubled his tally in hitting Town's third, and moments later Craig Norman notched another. Defender Rhys Whiteman stunned PILCS when his thunderbolt shot found the net, and although Oliver John managed to pull back a goal for PILCS, Town's veteran Ben Bannon had the last word when he flicked on from a corner to beat Ayres in PILCS goal.

On Saturday, Town continue their FAW Trophy quest at Pen-y-Pound, in a last 16 tie with Rhondda based Sporting Marvels. The game kicks off at 1.30pm, with Town expecting their biggest attendance of the season.
