DESPITE suffering the shock of a 3-2 midweek Gwent Senio Cup defeat at the hands of Caldicot Town, Goytre's Welsh League form remains in the rudest of health.

A 3-1 victory over Maeseg-based Caerau on the weekend saw the Plough Road outfit make it 36 points out of 36 points with 18 games remaining.

Goytre's goals came from Kristian Wharton and leading scorer Luke Prosser bagged a brace to take his season's tally to 15.
