TRAIN services between Abergavenny and Hereford remain cancelled as a result of fallen trees blocking the line.

" We are working with our partners in Network Rail to get services back to normal as soon and safely as possible. There is ticket acceptance with Cross Country Trains, West Midlands Trains and Great Western so passengers can travel via Birmingham to get between north and south Wales and Shropshire, Cheshire the and the north west of England," said a spokesman for Arriva Trains Wales.

"We have sourced replacement road transport but the road conditions are also impacting on this at present," he added.There are also no bus service running today on service 63 Pontypool to Chepstow, 69 Monmouth to Chepstow via Wye Valley, Service A2 Llwynu estate Abergavenny to Abergavenny, Service 83 Abergavenny to Monmouth and Monmouth Town Services W1,2,3,4,5.Services 74 Newport to Chepstow via Caldicot and 73 Newport to Chepstow and Chepstow Town Services C1,2,3,4,5 and service 60 Newport to Monmouth are running but may face some delays or route diversions depending on road conditions.
