Abergavenny’s Mayor has invited locals to sample a select menu from an internationally celebrated local chef.
Mayor David Simcock is teaming up with Franco Taruschio OBE, an internationally celebrated chef, formerly of the famous Walnut Tree Restaurant, and the Abergavenny Community Centre’s own renowned chef Elaine Blanchard.
The culinary team will be creating and cooking a very special menu for the Mayor of Abergavenny’s Gala Buffet at the Centre on Saturday, April, 7.
The Gala Buffet is being held in aid of Citizens Advice Abergavenny, the organisation the Mayor is supporting this year. Citizens Advice on Cross Street provides a vital free and confidential advice service to Abergavenny residents on their rights and responsibilities on a wide range of issues. Abergavenny Citizens Advice will use the money raised at the Gala to fund extra support workers to help meet a growing demand for their service.
The evening kicks off at 7pm with Hors d’ oeuvres and a complimentary glass of Prosecco on arrival, followed by a delicious hot and cold buffet (inspired and prepared by Franco and Elaine) using local produce and suppliers. Live entertainment by local musicians and a Prosecco Bar will top off what is sure to be a memorable evening.
The Mayor and Mayoress, David and Penny Simcock invite you to be part of this very special fundraising event at Abergavenny Community Centre in Merthyr Road on Saturday 7th April
Bookings at £25 per head can be made on 07751 666481, 01873 856925 or [email protected]
