THE world’s most famous scientists Stephen Hawking arrived back in Abergavenny last weekend for a visit to the town’s food festival.

During his visit Professor Hawking enjoyed a return visit to poplar restaurant Regency59 at Kings Head Hotel this Sunday.

Manager Babu R. Neupane said that a table had been reserved by his team and that staff at the restaurant were delighted to welcome them and and provide secure, private and pleasant environment so that he could enjoy his meal.

“He enjoyed garlic mushroom and lamb dinner and has complimented us on the hospitality and the exquisite lunch,” said Mr Neupane

“ Professor Hawking has been to Regency59 restaurant number of times before and likes the environment and food. My staff are delighted to look after him and provide him with a comfortable environment. There were lots of people wanted to take picture with him but as he was tired and we had to turn them away until he had enjoyed his lunch when he was happy to have his picture taken with a few lucky customers,” he said.

 “His management team also enjoyed food and have promised us they will be back next year same time. I know we will be looking forward to welcoming Stephen Hawking back,” he added.
