Gwent Police have confirmed that the man who died in Sunday’s collision on the A449 near Usk was 42-year-old Mark Crabtree from Hertfordshire.

Mr Crabtree died when he car was involved in a single vehicle collision on the A449 between Raglan and Usk

The southbound carriageway of the road was closed following the single vehicle crash, which happened just before 10am on Sunday between the A40 for Raglan and the A472 for Usk at Llanowell

Diversions were put in place while accident investigation work was carried out and the road was reopened shortly after by 3pm.
