GWENT Police is appealing for information following an assault on a 15-year-old girl in Abergavenny.

At around 10.55pm on Wednesday, October 26 at Llwynu Lane, the girl was grabbed by a man who approached her from the Hereford Road direction.

There was a brief struggle and the man ran off. The victim was left shaken but uninjured.

The offender, is described as being white, well built and in his 30s, has short hair with a fringe and was wearing jeans .
