IT’S probably the oldest panto company in Wales and it’s back at the Borough Theatre next week!

The ever popular Abergavenny Pantomime Company makes a welcome return to the stage of the Borough Theatre next week with its latest production - the exotic and exciting Sinbad the Sailor.

Final rehearsals are underway and the company is predicting another super show. According to those in the know rehearsals are going well and the whole team is very much looking forward to a first class production providing top entertainment for all ages.

The company has been rehearsing since the beginning of September in readiness for opening night on Monday and with a cast including Molly Brickley Clark as Sinbad, Eleanor Nicholson as the Princess and Alex Williams as the evil Grand Vizier there is sure to be plenty of fun for the whole family.

It has always been the company’s policy to support charitable causes and anyone buying a ticket to watch Sinbad the Sailor is able to make a small donation to Longtown Mountain Rescue Team by generously putting any spare change into the collecting buckets, straight after each performance.

While the team’s main function and training is in mountain rescue, it can be called upon to assist the police in searching for missing young or vulnerable people, in urban and rural areas, where police resources are limited. The team are also raising additional funds to purchase a new control vehicle, which will be equipped with the latest search equipment and satellite communication systems.

You can see Sinbad the Sailor at the Borough Theatre from Monday February 15 to Saturday, February 20, with matinees on Friday and Saturday.

Tickets can be purchased from the Box Office 01873 850805 or online priced from £5 to £7.50.
