PANDY have made a bright start to their pre-season fixtures with a 4-3 win over local rivals Crickhowell.

The Gwent Central outfit started very brightly with early goals from Mark Hughes and Jason Osborne, but failed to build on their initial lead as Crickhowell pulled two goals back to draw level 15 minutes later.

Pandy dug in deep, and regained the lead through Paul Assitatti, but once again Crickhowell bounced back to level the match within ten minutes.

With the score on 3-3 a draw looked likely, but Pandy showed a lot of heart to run out winners after Jason Osborne's second goal of the day.

The manager was pleased with the overall result, but added, "In the future we'll have to make sure we're on the ball for the full 90 minutes, and not just produce the goods in patches."

This Saturday Pandy will face a stern test when they play Tredegar away (1.30pm kick-off), but with the return of goalkeeper Basil Davies to the fold, team spirit will be high.
