Nick Ramsay AM recently met with representatives of Llanfoist Fawr Community Council who are unhappy with proposals for the council contained in the Review of Community Arrangements in Monmouthshire.

 

It is proposed that Llanfoist Fawr Community Council will become part of Cantref Ward, and within Abergavenny Town Council’s area. Objections to the proposals have been submitted to the Welsh Government by the local council and members of the public, and the consultation period has now come to an end.

 

Speaking last week, Nick said, “In view of the objections raised with me by the council and a number of constituents, I have written to the Welsh Government to highlight concerns over the review.

 

“I have just received a reply from Julie James AM, Minister for Local Government in which she confirms that she will consider these views as part of the process of making the Community Order for Monmouthshire.

We shall now have to wait for the outcome of that process.”
