A popular mother and baby centre in Abergavenny celebrated its first anniversary on Saturday April 2.
Marlows Place, is a hub for mums, dads, family and friends to meet and socialise with others in a “safe and baby-friendly environment.”
The hub is Nevill Street’s little hidden secret tucked away in the courtyard through the archway opposite Cooks Galley.
Run by friends Victoria and Rachel, and inspired by Victoria’s baby Marlow, the centre opened in April 2021, hosting a number of different activities and events and has proven to be a great success in the community.
A special celebration to mark the centre’s first anniversary took place on Saturday April 2 with the hub decorated with balloons and customers and business neighbours welcomed in to enjoy a glass of Prosecco to mark the day.
Marlows Place received many messages of congratulations and support on social media, including from local businesses Cooks Galley and Parrys Estate Agents.
One customer posted on Facebook saying: “Happy Birthday and thanks for being there over the last year! I’ve really appreciated having somewhere lovely and child friendly to come in Abergavenny!”
Another customer wrote: “Congratulations on your first birthday and for creating a great venue and happy place for young families to enjoy.”
