A 48 year old Brynmawr man has been remanded in custody after being found guilty of the manslaughter of 56 year old Harry Towers of Abergavenny.

Former rugby player Gareth Jenkins, of Boundary Street, Brynmawr was found not guilty of murder - the original charge he faced - but a jury at Newport Crown Court decided that he was guilty of manslaughter.

Mr Towers died following an incident which took place at the Britainnia public house in Abergavenny on October 28, 2010.
