WITH a blanket of snow having fallen overnight several schools in Monmouthshire have announced they will be closed today.

So far these are:

* King Henry VIII Comprehensive School

* Llandogo Primary School

* Ysgol Gymraeg Y Fenni

*Cantref Primary, Caerleon Comprehensive, Llantilio Pertholey, Deri View and Cross Ash Primary. Crickhowell High School has also closed for the day while in Pontypool Ysgol Gyfun Gwynllyw is also closed. All Coleg Gwent campuses are also closed. The Met office forecast says that more snow is due to fall on Abergavenny until around 2pm
