A WEST end star and producer of Les Miserables took time out to set the scenes and watch the performances by Abergavenny Amateur Operatic & Dramatic Society.
The junior section are currently in full swing with their rehearsals before their production in November and got a treat when Ken Caswell stepped in to offer a helping hand.
Musical director Sarah Fowler said Mr Caswell was invited by producer and choreographer Jaci Brinkley-Clark to set the Master of the House scene.
She said, "Master of the House is the only bit of light relief in the whole production. Ken Caswell played Thenardie and produced Les Miserables all over the world so we were thrilled to have him help out. The children got on well with him, he came twice and he stayed to watch them and said he was impressed with their performances - he was brilliant and a true professional."
Junior AAODS will perform Les Miserables at the Borough Theatre from Monday, November 17 to Saturday, November 22. Contact the box office on (01873) 850805.
