WELL-loved local busker Jim Ramsey will be singing his heart our for a dear friend on the streets of Abergavenny tomorrow when he attempts to raise as much money as possible for the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation (JDRF).

Last Friday Cross Ash seven-year-old Annabel Kelynack, who has type one diabetes, suffered a life threatening seizure. Her glucose levels had dipped to a dangerously low level. Her distraught mother Kate Kelynack preformed emergency resuscitation as they waited for the ambulance.

Little Annabel was rushed to hospital, her condition stabilized and she is now thankfully ok.

Kate told the Chronicle, “It was a terrible scare but the emergency service and the staff at the hospital were superb.

“Jim is a friend of the family and is every fond of Annabel, and has kindly offered to donate all his takings from busking this Saturday to JDRF. He’s very keen to raise awareness of the charity and what living with type one diabetes can entail. So if anyone’s out and about on the streets of Abergavenny this Saturday, it would be great if you can spare a few pennies for what is a very worthwhile charity.”
