Local people can raise money for the fight against cancer by taking part on a sponsored walk around picturesque Deri Mountain.
Abergavenny Friends of Tenovus are organising a five kilometre hike for Saturday, September 10.
Walkers will set off from Llantilio Pertholey community hall at 10.30am to complete the trek around the foothills, to return for a welcome hot drink and bacon roll.
The group are raising money to help cancer charity Tenovus, which gives vital support and emotional advice to those affected by cancer.
Marion Ashton, chairman of the group, is encouraging people to take part, she said, “It’s a fun event and we’d like as many people as possible to join in.
“Dogs are welcome too, but should be kept on a lead. We’re hoping people will wear bright colours and come along with a skip in their step!.”
Entry is £6 for adults, and £4 for children under 16.
