ABERGAVENNY Chronicle editor Liz Davies and Lynsey Wheeler, communications manager at the town’s Borough Theatre, will be joining forces this week to run a workshop looking at press and marketing as part of the first Aber Writing Fest.

The hour long introduction will include hints on how to write a press release and advertising copy and how to put together an effective marketing and social media strategy.

"The workshop, which will be very informal, is really aimed at anyone who has landed the invidious role of press officer for a group or society," explained Lynsey.

"If you’re really unlucky one of us will make you a cup of coffee! We may be able rustle up a Rich Tea as well," added Liz.
