National Trust rangers will be running a wild family adventure at the Sugar Loaf and St Mary’s Vale near Abergavenny during half term.

The ranger-led activities are part of the Trust’s ’50 things to do before you’re 11¾’ campaign where kids will have the chance to discover new adventures and explore this picturesque corner of the countryside.

With regular favourites including building a den and damming a stream, this half term will also feature a Halloween theme including creating some scary wild art and activities focusing around night-time creatures.

Wild Wednesday is taking place on Wednesday October 26 from 10am to 3pm, so taking along a picnic is essential.

’50 things to do before you’re 11¾’ is the National Trust’s campaign to reconnect children with nature - and children taking part in these events will be given their own 50 things booklet, along with stickers for each activity they complete so they can tick them off the list and plan their next adventure.

Booking is essential. There is a charge of £3 per child and adults go free. Please visit nationaltrust.org.uk/sugarloaf-and-usk-valley or call 0844 249 1895 to book.
