LOCAL people with memories of Abergavenny’s outdoor pool in Bailey Park are being invited to share them as part of an oral and visual history project.

Abergavenny Lido Group are gathering information about the much loved and lamented swimming pool and are seeking to interview people who would be willing to share their tales, memories and photographs.

Anyone wishing to take part is invited to send their contributions to [email protected] or private message details to the Abergavenny Lido Group Facebook Page.

Organiser, Amanda Harwood stated, ‘We would like to produce a visual and oral history to help us with our plans to bring an outdoor pool back to Abergavenny. We would also like to exhibit an edited collection from this project locally.’
