PEACE banners made by Abergavenny children were carried in procession across the Old Severn Bridge on Bank Holiday Monday.
The march was organised by the Women’s Archive of Wales to commemorate the peace march that left Wales for RAF Greenham Common on the same day in 1981 to protest against the siting of American Cruise Missiles.
The banners, one in Welsh and one in English, were designed and made at a two-day workshop for children from local primary schools organised by WAW during the Easter holidays.
