GOYTRE surprisingly floundered in a big way on Saturday when they were held to a 2-2 stalemate by basement side Porthcawl Town Athletic.
The Plough Road team began this Welsh League Division Three clash with four players suspended and their discipline woes continued in a game which saw both Kris Pritchard and Dale Clark sent off.
On target for the home side were Graham Mason and Lewis Clare.
Goytre have now slipped to second place in the table on 39 points just behind Ponypridd Town who are on 40.
Yet there is no need to ring the alarms just yet because Goytre have five games in hand over the league leaders in their push for promotion.
