THE Llansabbath County House has scooped a prestigious Visit Wales Gold Award.
The aim of the award is to recognise and reward outstanding quality, exceptional comfort and hospitality in the services accommodation sector in Wales.
Owners Lilian and Chris were thrilled with the accolade, "We absolutely love making sure our guests are well catered for and are very proud to receive the Gold Award."
The country house in Abergavenny is a refurbished 200-year-old farmhouse sited on the edge of the town.
The River Usk runs alongside the grounds and the view include the Blorenge mountain.
Businesses are not able to apply to be on the list for the award. They are selected for mystery shopper testing and in addition to delivering a high standard to the mystery customer, they were also asked to demonstrate their commitment to training and accessibility.
