Crickhowell and District Fundraising Group recently held a cheque presentation at Llangattock Park when Gwyneth Jones presented £500 to Suzan and Mike Alderton towards Alzheimers Research UK. and new group member Rory Waring, presented £500 to Paddy Nugent, the fundraising manager for St. Michael’s Hospice, Hereford, in memory of the late Heather Waring of Llangynidr.

The money was raised at a coffee morning and a Chinese auction.

Due to the success of this event the group look forward similar events on Saturday, October 21 at the Community Hall at Llangattock. Proceeds from that morning will be divided equally between the Bowel Cancer Unit at Nevill Hall Hospital and the Sepsis Research Trust Fund.
