ABERGAVENNY Bowls Club opened their doors last Saturday and began their season in earnest.
The first bowl of the season was bowled by club president Mr Bill Cooke and then all members of both sections of the club enjoyed superb weather for their first outdoor game of the year.
Although most members were involved in the opening day game, both John Beaton and Bill Belli were elsewhere.
The duo were involved in a doubles final at the indoor green in Abertillery. Congratulations to them both for their closely fought victory in the final of the Over 60's Doubles competition.
This Saturday Abergavenny welcome Brynmawr to Avenue Road for their traditional pre-season six rink friendly commencing at 3.00pm.
