CHRISTMAS celebrations in Abergavenny are not to be missed this year with the build up beginning next week with auditions for the third annual Xmas Factor.

The talent show auditions will take place in the Market Hall on Monday, October 24 starting at 12 noon and just like The X Factor, the public are allowed to watch the acts take to the stage and perform in front of the judges.

The competition is open to anyone aged 24 years and under who live in the Bryn y Cwm area.

All those who make it through, the final will be on Saturday, December 3 at the Borough Theatre.

First place winner will receive £250, second place, £100; third place, £50.
