Abergavenny pair on fox cruelty charges

Two people from Abergavenny have appeared in court accused of killing fox cubs after a police inquiry into alleged cruelty at a hunting kennel.

Julie Elmore, 54, stood alongside Nathan Parry, 38, both of Brynarw Estate, Cwmyoy, Abergavenny, at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Elmore and Parry have been charged with four counts of animal cruelty. They did not enter pleas and will next appear in court on June 19.

Paul Oliver, 39, of Sutton Crosses, Long Sutton, Lincolnshire; Hannah Rose, 29, of Sutton Crosses, Long Sutton, Lincolnshire, and Paul Reece, 47, of Chepstow, also appeared charged with animal cruelty.

The pair were first arrested two years ago on suspicion of animal cruelty at the South Herefordshire Hunt’s kennels in Wormelow, Herefordshire.
