A BURST water main, repaired in the early hours of Monday, August 20th resulted in discoloured water for many throughout the Abergavenny area, leading to Dwr Cymru Welsh Water handing out bottles of water from Waitrose Car Park on Monday.

A Welsh Water spokesperson told the Chronicle the discolouration was usual following repairs to a water main and the water should soon be running clearly again.
