A PLAY about the unique friendship between celebrated World War One poets Wilfred Owen and Siegfried Sassoon is heading for be the Borough Theatre.

Not About Heroes, tells how the pair met at Craiglockhart Hospital in 1917, and bonded over a mutual hatred of war and love of poetry.

Through the letters and poems of these two men, Stephen MacDonald’s play paints a picture of their friendship and the conflict that brought them together.

Presented by Flying Bridge Theatre Company and Seabright Productions in association with Pleasance and Newport Live, Not About Heroes shows at The Borough Theatre, Abergavenny on
