AS in previous years there will be a short Remembrance Sunday Ceremony at 11am at the stone commemorating the Blenheim Bomber crash in September 1940 on Garn Wen above Abersychan, Torfaen.

On November 9 there will be three led walks to the stone, The Brecon Beacons Park Society will be leading a 10-mile walk to the stone for the short ceremony and on to the Goose and Cuckoo for soup. The walk will start at Goytre Wharf (GR SO 312063) at 9.30am and return at 4pm.

The Abersychan and Garndiffaith Local History Group will lead a shorter walk from the car park over the bridge in Waterworks Lane, Abersychan (GR SO 271042) leaving at 9.45am and returning at 12.30pm and the Pontypool Ramblers Group will be leaving from Victoria Village Hall, Abersychan (GR SO 270044) at 9.45am, again returning at 12.30pm.

Ken Clark, Chairman, Abersychan and Garndiffaith Local history Group will lead the ceremony and give a short talk on the history of the crash.
