TWO PEOPLE were taken to Nevill Hall Hospital in Abergavenny following a road traffic collision at The Hardwick roundabout on Monday, May 31.

Gwent Police told The Chronicle that officers were notified of the collision at 6.50pm and said the two people who were travelling on a motorbike were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries following a collision with a car.

A police spokeswoman said she had no report of an accident which is understood to have occurred at the roundabout earlier on Bank Holiday Monday.

Also on Bank Holiday Monday, the A40 between Crickhowell and Abergavenny was closed for a short time following a three car collision near the Lamb and Flag restaurant at 5.30pm.

A police spokesperson said no-one involved in the collision had received serious or life-threatening injuries.
