A television documentary about living with early-onset dementia by Crickhowell journalist and cameraman, Tim Jones has been nominated for a BAFTA Cymru Award as best News and Current Affairs Programme.

The programme features Chris Roberts who was diagnosed with the illness aged just 50 and now, supported by wife,Jayne,campaigns worldwide to raise awareness of the condition.

The programme has already won TV News and Current Affairs Programme of the Year in the Welsh Media Awards; judging for the BAFTA will take place on October 8th in Cardiff.

Tim stated, ‘I am delighted that the programme is being recognised again because it shines a light on the remarkable work being done by people like Chris and Jayne to raise awareness of dementia and how it is possible to live with it’.

Chris Roberts and Jayne will be giving a talk on the challenges of living with dementia at Crickhowell’s Dragon Inn on Saturday September 16 at 6pm.

Tickets for the event cost £15 and include refreshments.
