Gwent Police have launched an appeal to find a missing person who has links to Abergavenny.

James Hankins, 34, was last seen on Wednesday March 2 at around 1pm in Newport and officers are concerned for his welfare.

He is described as around 5 ft 9 inches tall, of slim build, with brown hair and has a tattoo on his neck.

As well as Abergavenny, James has known links to Caldicot and Cwmbran.

Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to call Gwent Police on 101 or send them a direct message on social media, quoting log reference 2200095974.

James is also urged to get in touch with the police to confirm that he is safe and well.
