A DOG named Angel by her rescuers after being found wandering emaciated and ill on the streets of Abergavenny is responding well to the care and good diet she is now receiving at All Creatures Great and Small Animal Sanctuary, say staff.
Angel is sixteen years old and has a number of health problems still to be addressed but animal welfare manager, Joanne Rhys-Evans, told the Chronicle, ‘Usk Veterinary Centre have done a marvellous job with her so far in treating her skin condition and with a special diet she has already put on almost half a kilo. She is a lovely old lady.
‘There is a possibility of fostering for Angel in the near future but until then she is in the best possible hands, enjoying gentle walks and making lots of new friends.’
Anyone wishing to make a donation towards Angel’s care can contact the Rescue Centre at http://www.allcreaturesgreatandsmall.org.uk. The centre will be hosting an Open Day this Saturday, August 25th from noon until 5.00pm.
