A HILL walker is recovering following hospital treatment after being rescued from the Skirrid Mountain.
Longtown Mountain Rescue Team was called out by the Welsh Ambulance Service after a 50-year-old woman slipped and suffered a lower leg injury on Ysgyrwd Fawr.
Team members reached the casualty, who was stranded at 1,600ft, within 35 minutes of the call out.
She was treated by a team doctor before being carried by stretcher down to a waiting team vehicle from where she was taken to Nevill Hall.
Longtown MRT team leader Luke Lewis said, ‘There are some slippery conditions in the mountains at the moment with a combination of mud, ice and snow. This call out shows how fast the team’s response can be. We would like to wish her a speedy recovery.’
