GWENT police are appealing for witnesses after 30 sheep are believed to have been stole from the Grosmont area sometime between last Thursday and Friday
The sheep all have green shoulder marks but no notch marks and will have different ear tag numbers also.
While some of the sheep were seen near to the B4347 between Grosmont and Whitehouse, the rest of were scattered widely and it is believed the gates to their enclosure were opened deliberately
“If you see any of these sheep on or near your land or have seen anyone acting suspiciously with sheep trailers/lorries, please contact me immediately,” said Alan Mills of Gwent Police.
