THE squad from Verve Kickboxing kickstarted the season in style with an impressive trophy haul at Birmingham’s WFMC British Championships.
A total of ten junior team members took a 100 percent win record from the continuous ring kickboxing section and four golds, two silvers and a bronze from the points stop sections.
Brennan Gait, (son of chief competition instructor Heath Gaits) also won his two MMA fights with a submission and a decision.
Brennan has a great future ahead of him as he begins his MMA journey and follows in the footsteps of his father Master Gait.
Verve Martial Arts Centre Co-Owner, Kickboxing and squad instructor Leigh Haslett said, “I was particularly impressed with the squad in their first competition of 2019. They dominated performances in the ring and on the points mats. They executed their training program perfectly and the drills we practice in the centre were executed perfectly at a high level of competition. It was a long but rewarding weekend for everyone associated with the club. We are looking forward to a packed summer of competitions around the UK.”
