RACE, who are battling relegation in Division Three and are in danger of dropping out of the County set-up altogether, offered stiff resistance at Pen-y-Pound, and the score remained goal-less for too long for comfort, in this County Motors Challenge Cup second round tie.

However goals from Dean Morgan and Nathan Davies meant Town had an advantage at half-time, and they followed this up in the second half when Matthew Baker saw his corner fly directly into goal, as Town exerted their Division One class with Jenkins, and Norman adding to their total, in what proved to be a stroll, against much weaker opponents.

On Saturday, Town visit local rivals, Blaenavon Blues (3.00pm).
