Here's a blast from the past for all you Chronicle readers with long memories.

Pictured are the Gilwern football team circa 1936. The photo was sent to us by Rob Richards who explained, "The photo was taken at the rear of the Beaufort Inn, Gilwern, and the trophy may be the Crickhowell Hospital Cup. I can confirm the captain is my father, Cliff Richards, and his brother Emlyn is also pictured.

"Obviously it becomes increasingly difficult with the passage of time to identify the people shown in this photo, but I would certainly appreciate knowing more of those pictured."
