CHRONICLE cartoonist Malcolm Humphreys, or as he's otherwise known, Mumph, will be officially launching his 2013 rugby calendar ahead of the Wales V Australia game at the Millennium Stadium this Saturday.

'Mumphs of the Year' is a desktop calendar with 12 limericks written and illustrated by the man himself and as these things often do, it will make a perfect gift for Christmas.

Mumph explained, "I'm so pleased to have produced this calendar. It's a modern look at rugby and being Welsh. Both things just go hand in hand. I've always been a rhyme writer...but I'd hardly call myself a poet. The poems are funny and that's the main thing. If it raises a smile or even a guffaw, then it's done its job. Times are hard and it's nice to own something that can put a smile on your face.

"In some ways the calendar is a cross between Max Boyce and Gren Humour, but it's very much based on how the game is today."
