Abergavenny Ladies Hockey Club’s first team captain Jennifer Baxter is confident of a bright season ahead after the team were promoted into South Wales Division One at the end of last season.

Abergavenny Ladies Hockey second Team also won promotion to Division Three.

Jen, (pictured far right) explained, “We are really proud to be playing in the first division.

“We are working really hard in training to become stronger, faster, and more tactical in the hope to assert ourselves in this highly competitive league. Both teams are also thankful of the continued support of Zenith McGarty, who have now been sponsors of Abergavenny Ladies Hockey since 2012.”

Jen added, "Our growth is underpinned by sourcing and nurturing local talent, and Abergavenny are always looking to recruit new players. We are also on the look out for coaches and umpires at all level and ages to join this passionate and enthusiastic hockey club.”
