MONMOUTHSHIRE Golf Club held their presentation night recently and the junior members in particular, enjoyed a very successful evening winning a number of senior prizes as well as those of the junior section. T

The Junior Champion for 2012 is Nathan Humphreys (one handicap) who beat Callam Morris (five handicap) at the 35th hole of the final.

Humphreys had a very successful year at county level, winning both the County Junior Strokeplay and Matchplay Championships.

The Club Captain, Ray Bradley presented the trophies and he thanked, Don And Irene Dodd for their ongoing support of the Juniors, John Bache who was stepping down as Junior Organiser after two years and all the helpers who supported the Juniors during the last year.

Thanks also go to the members of the Club who donated prizes for Junior Competitions.The Junior Section are looking forward to another busy year with full inter-club league fixtures, many holiday time club competitions and numerous opportunities to play county and regional golf competitions.

New Junior members are welcome. They will get plenty of opportunity to improve their game through the coaching of club professional Brain Edwards and his assistant Anthony Challoner.
