RAGLAN teacher Paul Spooner has competed in the British Trials and Rally Drivers Championship for many years and has won every round in the series except the Somerset Stages. Spooner can now add this event to his CV after winning the Stages with co-driver Steve Perez in a Ford Focus WRC on Saturday. The victory was hard fought over twelve special stages near Minehead in Somerset in dry and dusty conditions. Spooner is one of the most popular competitors in the championship and the victory was well deserved.
